Parnell & Associates, Inc. Project Manager in Cambridge, Ohio
Parnell & Associates, Inc., a reputable family-owned asphalt paving construction company serving Southeast Ohio, is seeking a qualified project manager to join our team.
The individual understands the bidding and construction process for asphalt paving projects as a general contractor and a subcontractor. The individual will participate in sales, preconstruction, bidding, award, subcontractor/material vendor procurement, scheduling (bidding, daily and look ahead), meeting with owners, working with lead crew foremen to finalize field crew makeup and expectations, daily review with crews, billings (both owner and subcontractor invoices), post construction reviews. Successful applicants will have the following background and attributes:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.
- Build positive relationships with ODOT, owners, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Ability to budget cost, complete project bids and perform job costing.
- Ability to work with in-house project supervisors, and in-house accounting.
- Ability to work long hours, including Saturdays, to complete the work.
- Ability to lead people, schedule work and manage projects.
- Understands, promotes and enforces ODOT and OSHA regulations and site-specific safety criteria on projects.
- Excellent computer skills with excel, email, word and experience with construction scheduling and takeoff programs.
- Resourceful, well organized with an eye for detail.
- Strong negotiating skills.
