Information Technology IT Client Solutions Project Centre Transportation is seeking experienced IT Project Manager - Senior 2 to lead large complex technology projects with multiple workstreams and several solution components. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diversified team. They must be capable of developing trusted relationships demonstrating innovation and initiative and maintaining a strong focus on customer service. Additionally the candidate should have a proven track record of successfully managing intricate projects and the ability to navigate through various challenges that may arise throughout the project lifecycle.

Our goal is to find a leader who can effectively drive project success ensuring seamless integration and collaboration among all parties involved while maintaining a customer-centric approach and fostering innovation.
Deliverables:
This IT Project Manager - Senior role will coordinate with other City of Calgary IT resources external vendors and other project and City business unit stakeholders to implement project solutions following the Citys Policies Processes and Project Methodologies for enterprise integrations. This position requires the individual to be on-site when needed. Partial remote work is acceptable.
Essential Skills
Ten (10) years - Overall IT project management experience (the majority of this experience should have been practiced in accordance with the generally accepted good practices identified in PMI’s PMBOK® Guide, in recent years);
Ten (10) years - Proven experience in project management of large, complex technology projects, or program of projects; size of projects may be defined in terms of budget, staff involvement, organizational impact, complexity/number of stakeholders and size of organization;
Ten (10) years - Proven experience leading and supporting multidisciplinary project teams consisting of internal staff from IT and clients, contractors, and vendors;
Ten (10) years - Project resource planning and participation/input into project team resourcing;
Ten (10) years - The ability to undertake multiple projects, manage competing demands, prioritize and adjust resources;
Five(5) years – Software development experience applying Agile and other software development methodologies in various roles of developer, analyst and project manager.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous work experience with municipal or other large government organizations;
Ten (10) years - Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to build and manage complex relationships with groups/individuals with varying perspectives, interest and roles;
Ten (10) years - Strong leadership, planning, change management and analytic skills;
Ten (10) years - Well-developed communication skills including oral, written, presentation, facilitation and mediation skills (negotiation and mediation);
Ten (10) years - Ability to work with a diverse audience and reach a consensus on critical project decisions;
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $95.00 - $95.00/hr.
