Job Title: Master Machinist

Job Description

As a Master Machinist, you will be expected to lead, coach, train, develop, and mentor machinist/operators. Your role will include cross-training current employees on operations, set-ups, and procedures, ensuring that knowledge of such training is signed off. You will be the go-to machinist for tight tolerance, high risk aerospace machining and will be expected to provide support to the team with 1st Article runs, Inspection with Aerospace grade materials and Aerospace standards. You will manage the set-up, operation, and troubleshooting of a cell of 12 – 15 CNC machines. Adherence to core values, safety and quality requirements is a must. You will coordinate daily production needs, focusing on safety, quality, and productivity. Your role will also include providing programming support in person and/or Mastercam, working with Multi Spindle, Multi Turret CNC machines, and using live tooling. You will handle low volume and high product mix production, creating corrective action plans for quality spills, knowledge gaps, or any mishaps in assigned cells. Communication with the team, engineering, and management is a key aspect of your role. You may also be assigned other duties as necessary.

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Environment

You will be working in a clean job-shop environment, with a team culture. A new Director of Operations has fostered an environment where team members are willing to be cross-trained and help out where needed. Dress code is casual with closed toed shoes, no shorts and PPE required.
