Posting Summary
The Larner College of Medicine ( LCOM ) at the University of Vermont’s CTMS Implementation Project Manager role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the implementation of the enterprise Clinical Trials Management System ( CTMS ) OnCore.
The Project Manager manages all phases of the rollout of the OnCore platform along with several supplementary modules including Account Receivables, Electronic Regulatory Binders (eReg), Electronic Data Capture ( EDC ), and the Biospecimen Management System ( BSM ). Critical to the role is ensuring OnCore integrates with the existing UVM Health Network’s electronic medical record ( EMR ) system Epic and the UVM electronic Institutional Review Board (eIRB) system Click and other enterprise systems at UVM and the UVM Health Network that support the delivery and administration of clinical research.
The Project Manager oversees the entire implementation project and reports directly to the LCOM Chief Information Officer ( CIO ). They work closely with a steering committee comprised of key stakeholders as well as an advisory committee with representatives who play senior roles in clinical research at UVM and the UVM Health Network.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Masters Degree or higher in clinical care and/or research. And at least 6 years of experience:
working in a clinical trials environment as a clinical research coordinator, principal investigator or regulatory official.
working in an electronic medical record system.
working with an enterprise level clinical trials management system, including trial management, patient accrual, trial calendar building and management and budgeting.
managing large scale software implementation projects.
managing software vendors.
Desirable Qualifications
Current Project Management Institute ( PMI ) certification.
At least 3 years of experience working in Information Technology environment with focus on software development and management.
Experience working as a Clinical Research Coordinator or Principal Investigator using OnCore at an Academic Medical Center.
Anticipated Pay Range $80,000 - $110,000
Other Information
This is a limited term and is a 12 -month position.
Special Conditions Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position
