Robert Half Remote Managed Care Paralegal in Burlington, North Carolina
Description
We are offering a REMOTE opportunity for a skilled Paralegal, who has a background in healthcare and managed care. This role is in the legal industry and requires strong research abilities, experience with contract review and negotiation, and a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulations.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct compliance and regulatory research specific to the healthcare industry
• Collaborate with outside counsel as necessary
• Review and negotiate manage care contracts
• Handle service of process and assist with legal-hold notices
• Prepare and file documents required to initiate arbitration and/or litigation
• Create and maintain litigation/arbitration files
• Handle and review medical records
• Conduct comprehensive legal and internet research
• Leverage skills in managing Medicaid managed care matters
• Utilize knowledge of healthcare regulations in daily tasks.
Requirements • Applicant must possess the ability to manage care contracts efficiently
• Knowledge and understanding of Medicaid Manage Care is essential
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and the ability to implement them effectively is required
• Proficiency in Legal Research is a must-have skill
• Proven experience in a paralegal role, preferably within a healthcare setting
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a keen attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are vital
• Familiarity with legal terminology and principles
• Proficiency in using legal research software and other relevant computer applications
• Must have a degree in law, paralegal studies, or a related field.
