From your PASSION to ours

Assist in managing the safety program at the plant to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, preserve employee health and safety, and reduce workplace accident costs.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

· Assist in managing the plant's safety program.

· Develop, integrate, and gauge training needs from a safety perspective.

· Participate in safety committee efforts, instilling responsibility, setting targets, and providing follow-up.

· Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety assessments and prepare action plans.

· Review and recommend safety policies and procedures with department managers.

· Record accident data and provide necessary reports.

· Analyze and evaluate near miss or injury data to develop plans for reducing lost time (root cause analysis).

· Lead and control safety improvement projects and implement corrective actions.

· Demonstrate a commitment to a safe working environment that promotes employee health and well-being.

· Travel and/or extended or off-work hours may be required.

· Use provided tools such as a computer and phone to fulfill responsibilities.

Requirements

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

Education & Experience

· Preferred bachelor’s degree in occupational safety or a related field.

· 3+ years of experience in the safety field, preferably in the manufacturing sector.

· Certification in safety, industrial hygiene, or a similar area is preferred.

Specialized Knowledge:

· Regulatory compliance: Knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations.

· Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment.

· Expertise in developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs.

· Knowledge of emergency response procedures and crisis management.

Skills & Abilities:

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy; dependable and able to work well in a team environment.

· Excellent interpersonal skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Skills in conducting incident investigations, root cause analysis, and developing corrective actions.

· Awareness of industrial hygiene principles.

· Familiarity with equipment and tools relevant to safety inspections and assessments.

· Bilingual skills are helpful.

· Dedicated commitment to continuous improvement in safety performance and processes.

Salary Description

$64,000 - $80,000
