The Product & Sales Specialist will manage a portfolio of medium-sized accounts, optimizing sales, profitability, and product mix. They will also develop deep expertise in the company’s microelectronic packaging solutions, including brazing and soldering materials, and take ownership of product pricing. This role involves working with customers, channel partners, and internal teams to drive both sales and product strategy.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Manage and grow medium-sized accounts by optimizing sales and product mix

  • Identify opportunities to drive profitable sales growth

  • Build strong relationships with customers and channel partners

  • Track sales performance and provide strategic insights

  • Know technical capabilities and manufacturing processes of the business

  • Own product pricing, balancing market trends, customer needs and company goals

  • Conduct market analysis to inform product strategy

  • Provide technical support and training for internal teams, channel partners and customers

  • Gather customer feedback for product development

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 4-year degree in engineering, materials science, or a related field

  • Experience in sales, account management, product or customer support, preferably in microelectronic packaging industry

  • Knowledge in precious metal soldering and brazing materials desirable

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess account profitability and pricing strategy

  • Experience working with channel partner or distributor is a plus.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and relation-building skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • SAP, CRM and Project Management experience highly desirable

  • Ability to quickly learn technical and business concepts

  • Travel up to 25% of the time, depending on business needs, could be required

Pay Range:

$63,800.00 - $95,800.00

Actual base salary offered varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.

The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction. Please understand that any job offer that requires approval of an export license will be conditional on Materion’s determination that it will be able to obtain an export license in a time frame consistent with Materion’s business requirements.
