Job Summary:

An assemblers job is to assemble products or parts of products in a production environment.

  • Read and interpret Bill Of Materials (BOM), blueprints, and schematic drawings to determine materials requirements and assembly instructions.

``` - Assemble parts and units by hand or using various hand and power tools based on provided blueprints and BOM. - Assemble systems and support structures, and install components following specifications.

``` - Occasionally operate rivet machines, small presses, or wire machines to produce quality parts. - Retrieve and handle parts from various locations within the facility.

``` - Perform quality inspections based on provided specifications. - Mark and tag components to track and identify stock inventory.

``` - Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as specified by the company. - Follow all company rules, policies, safety, and quality standards.

``` - Keep the work area clean, organized, and in accordance with the Supervisors guidelines. - Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency, ensuring smooth production flow and balanced workload.

``` - Pack finished assemblies for shipment. - Position, align, and adjust work pieces and electrical parts to facilitate wiring and assembly. - Clean parts using cleaning solutions, air hoses, and clothes.

``` - Be present at the assigned work station at the start of each shift and immediately following each break.

``` - Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Detail-oriented and consistent.
  • Works well as a productive member of a team.
  • Ability to properly maintain and perform basic repairs on equipment.
  • Basic ability in mathematics, reading, or writing.
  • Effective time management.
  • Awareness of safety protocols

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work while standing or sitting for long periods of time with repetitive movements.
  • Must have manual dexterity in order to assemble products or machines as directed.
  • Lift 15 lbs from the floor on a regular basis and up to 50 lbs. for some positions.
  • Some products may require bending over to move from the line to the floor.
