This growing company located in Buda, TX is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their team. Your responsibilities will include performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment. You will follow safety measures, predictive, and preventive maintenance systems, and processes to support the achievement of business goals. In addition, you will also assist in daily operations and direction of the maintenance function, setting priorities, troubleshooting potential issues that could affect production schedules, acting as a lead on designated activities, and interfacing with operators and external contacts to meet organizational goals and objectives. We are hiring for ALL SHIFTS.
Pay:
$25 - $40/hr
Troubleshoot equipment, making repairs/adjustments as necessary for maximum operating efficiency
Replace/repair motors, gear boxes, drive units and all other packaging equipment components as required
Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on production equipment
Monitor equipment performance and report any inefficiencies caused by equipment or materials used
Packaging equipment changeovers for different size containers or components
Maintain assigned records or downtime logs of equipment malfunction or component parts used by repair
Comply with good manufacturing practices, safety and audits standard
Work independently under limited supervision

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
1+ years of industrial manufacturing maintenance experience
Skilled mechanically and electrically (up to 480V)
Preferred experience troubleshooting automated and robotic equipment.
PLC troubleshooting a strong plus
Must provide own tools
The Maintenance Technician is responsible to diagnose, analyze and investigate malfunction of plant packaging machines and equipment and repair/ adjust in order to keep in good operating condition. Plant equipment is hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and some automated PLC equipment such as conveyors, palletizers, depalletizes, bottlers, cappers, etc.
You will be working in a distribution center, primarily independently.
2nd Shift Opportunity: Hours will be approximately 2pm-midnight from Monday to Thursday, with some day shift hours on Friday. Friday hours could vary but will likely be around 10am-2 or 3pm. You will start on the first shift for training, which is expected to last at least 3 weeks but could extend to three months depending on your aptitude and speed of learning. After training, you will transition to the 2nd shift.
