Job Summary and Qualifications

The Cardiac Cath Lab Supervisor is an individual who, after comprehensive training, is qualified to function within any process connected with the daily operational and business needs of the lab. Performs direct patient care, manages daily business and scheduling routines and coordinates mandatory continuing education within the scope of licensure. Coordinates communication between all involved modalities in daily practice. Able to pre-screen patients and/or families to augment the procedural process by acquiring pertinent information. Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment. Educates our patients and families. Responsible for inventory, equipment function, vendor relationships and coordination of staff, physician and patient scheduling daily. Coordinates performance improvement activities to ensure continuous quality improvement. Directly reports operational functions to Director of Cardiac & Pulmonary Services and Administration Team. Networks with Clinical Cardiovascular Management Network (CCMN) within HCA to maintain operational standards

In this position – you will:

  • Coordinates clinical activities for Cardiac Catherization Lab to provide optimum quality patient care outcomes

  • Assumes management responsibilities which include be are not limited to payroll, collection of statistics, schedules, day to day staffing and performance evaluations of direct reports, counseling of direct reports and follow up on incident reports

  • Identifies areas of improvement for the Cardiac Catherization Lab process

  • Possesses clinical expertise in nursing as a Cardiovascular Nurse, and willingly provides direct patient care, as required

Qualification:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Allied Health Sciences and currently registered with the authority for the board in the state of Texas

  • A degree utilizing management and/or business aspects preferred

  • Operational computer skills required

  • Critical care experience is preferred

  • RCIS preferred

  • Current BLS & ACLS Certifications (American Heart Association &/or American Red Cross)

  • Minimum of 2 years Cath Lab experience/Special Procedures is required

  • Previous Supervisory experience preferred
