Geel Community Services, Inc. Senior Case Manager in Bronx, New York
Description:The Senior Case Manager’s (SCM) job has two major areas of responsibility. They are program and supervisory responsibilities, and general case management responsibilities. The SCM should be able to assume the role of the Program Director (PD) in the event of his/ her absence, and to assist the PD in the performance and duty of the program director’s job.The Senior Case Manager will report directly to the Program Director and in the event of the PD’s absence, to the Quality Assurance Director. Qualifications/ Requirements:Bachelor’s degree or higher required, plus 3 (three) years’ work experience in social services, including one year as a case manager, preferred. One year’s supervisory experience preferredBilingual/ Spanish preferredCandidates must demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills, and must have good computer skills Schedule: Office hours are Monday - Friday; 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.Physical Requirements/ Limitations: Candidates must be able to access areas from the basement to the roof in a non-elevator four story building, must be able to travel to different locations utilizing public transportation, and must be able to demonstrate proper cleaning and apartment maintenance methods to residents in addressing their activities of daily living.Salary: Annualized at $58,793 plus benefitsComprehensive Benefits Package - includes:• Paid time off: vacation (18 days), sick (12 days), personal (4 days); all major holidays • Health insurance (includes dependent coverage) - coverage after 30 days, no salary contribution required for single enrollment • Dental and vision coverage - no employee contribution required • Life Insurance Policy- no employee contribution required • 403(b) Plan - with 5% employer contribution, and employer matching contribution of 50% of salary reduction contribution, up to maximum of 8% of compensation for the year • Partial tuition reimbursement• Supervision for individuals pursuing MSW degree • Opportunities for growth within the agencyApply via website: http://geelcs.org/employment/jobemp/index/148
