A & A Metro Transportation Automotive Technician in Bridgewater, Massachusetts
*** \$3,000 Sign on Bonus *** Tuesday - Saturday Duties and Responsibilities include the following. - Repairs and overhauls automobiles, buses, and other automotive vehicles by performing the following duties. - Use hand tools such as wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, as well as power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, and jacks and hoists. - Inspect and repair brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition. - Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment. - Test drives vehicles to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure that they are working properly. - Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test instruments such as handheld computers, motor analyzers, chassis charts, and pressure gauges. - Inspect and verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to factory specifications. - Repair and adjust seats, doors, and windows, and install and repair accessories. - Diagnose Automotive and Bus Air Conditioning Systems. Other duties may be assigned. Education and/or Experience: - At least 3 years of Mechanic experience - Auto school or prior automotive experience preferred - CDL license helpful - Have own tools - Tire and wheel experience License/Certification: - Driver\'s License (Required)
