Job Title: Immediate Call Center Supervisor
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Call Center Customer Service Supervisor/Manager to support our client, a Local Municipality Utilities service in the Tampa Bay area. This role involves managing a team of 5-10 customer service representatives who will handle inquiries from residential and commercial customers regarding upcoming changes to garbage collection and utility management.
Responsibilities
Supervise and manage a team of 5-10 customer service representatives in an onsite office.
Oversee daily operations to ensure efficient and effective customer service.
Train and support staff in using the county phone system.
Address and resolve escalated customer issues and complaints.
Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing feedback and coaching as needed.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Prepare and maintain reports on team performance and customer service metrics.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 5 years of experience managing staff in a customer service center.
Proven ability to manage a diverse team of representatives.
Strong computer skills and proficiency in using customer service software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work a 6-month contract from April/Early May to November 2025.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Certified Public Manager (CPM) certificate is preferred.
Work Environment
Onsite - small office building near the landfill in Manatee County. You will manage a team of 6-7 customer service representatives. The position offers great pay and hours, with a day shift schedule and no weekends. This is a wonderful opportunity to gain experience in the public sector and help a local municipality serve its residents.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $43.25/hr.
