What the day will look like

Coordinator of Wealth Latam Hub to give support to the North America Team, leading a team, participating in meetings, understanding

the business.

Lead a group of young versatile actuaries, helping them develop skills to evaluate their work

  • You will be responsible for managing analysts who perform actuarial valuations of varying complexity in support of North American clients

  • You will carry out complex actuarial valuations (pension, retiree medical, and other postemployment benefits), coordinating responsibilities with global teams and meeting defined deadlines

  • You will guarantee compliance and drive usage of processes, templates, precedents, and compliance guidelines as a competent checker

  • You will demonstrate a very good understanding of defined benefit plan operating and regulatory environment and actuarial professional requirements

  • You will guide the creation of learning resources for the team, such as best practices sharing or training materials for types of work

  • You will focus on quality and efficiency of the team’s work product.

  • Researching responses to auditor questions.

  • Modeling proposed legislation changes.

  • Settlement and curtailment accounting calculations.

  • Analyzing alternative strategies (funding policies, liftouts, etc.)

  • Projecting funding and accounting calculations

  • Completing assumption and experience studies

  • Assisting with plan redesign studies

  • Participating in plan termination calculations

  • Other related actuarial calculations.

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Educated to University degree level, preferably in Mathematics, Statistics or Actuarial Science.

  • Industry knowledge and relevant work experience (actuary, finance, insurance at least 5 years).

  • Experience leading a team and handling deliverables with high-quality standards.

  • Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment by being respectful, inspiring others, giving timely feedback, and being an active listener.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent project management skills demonstrated by the ability to handle multiple clients and management responsibilities simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).

  • Advanced English proficiency.
