Cook: 24 openings at Blaze Restaurant Group, LLC at restaurants in Bar Harbor (04609), Blue Hill (04614), and Bangor (04401); Phone: (207) 944-8723, preparing foods and kitchen for the day, including chopping, cutting, pulling food from walk-ins, starting equipment, etc., preparing and cooking foods/meals to order according to recipes, serving prepared meals to waitstaff, cleaning work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, etc., closing kitchen at the end of the night by cleaning, taking care of food and waste, and shutting off all equipment. 35+ hours per week, Monday-Sunday (1-2 days off, rotating), shifts start as early as 9:00 a.m. and end as late as 11:30 p.m. (multiple shifts available, varies), \$18.90-\$22.00 per hour, overtime possible at \$28.35-\$33.00 per hour; temporary, full-time position (April 1, 2025, to November 5, 2025). No minimum education or experience required; on-the-job training provided; performance-based bonus and/or raise possible. Optional employer-provided housing available in Bar Harbor and Blue Hill at \$150-\$175 per week, not deducted from bi-weekly pay but handled separately. Paid bi-weekly using a single workweek as the standard for computing wages due; hourly rate includes tips. Standard payroll deductions as required by law.
Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if worker completes half the employment period; the amount for daily subsistence will be at least \$15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of \$59.00 per day with receipts; return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Reimbursement within one week after the start of work of visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker. The employer will provide workers, at no charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
