Job Location: Saline, MI
The primary responsibility of this role is to perform as the electronics lab lead technician. This position will ensure the lab operates in compliance with compnay's safety guidelines, conducts evaluations per company's specifications and outputs accurate high-quality data with high work efficiency to achieve project milestones.
Required Qualifications:
- An interdependent safety mindset
- Automotive, Electronics, or Technology degree, or equivalent education and experience
- Experience operating a dynamometer, spectrum analyzers, RF receivers, signal generators, oscilloscope and network analyzers.
- Experience in EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) field.
- Coordinating vehicle evaluation, design troubleshooting, resource schedule alignment experience
- Interpreting electrical systems drawings, specifications, manuals, wire diagrams, and standards experience
- Highly organized in documenting and communicating data and issues accurately, including technical writing and reporting ability.
- Experience with documenting equipment usage and maintenance trends, identifying future needs, and developing proposals.
- Lifelong learner mindset: How and why all vehicle systems work, including test equipment and new technologies.
- OBD (On Board Diagnostic) and CAN (Controller Area Network) tool use, experience, and understanding to troubleshoot system issues.
- Skilled in the use of hand and shop tools to build test fixtures, disassemble and assemble vehicles.
- Experience in updating vehicle and systems software and confirming functionality.
- This position requires driving. A motor vehicle record that's acceptable by company standards is required for this position.
