Purpose of the Job
In this role you will work in a team of operatives in the delivery of markout and trade services. You will work closely with the Team Leader in delivering the services in a timely and safe manner ensuring all CBRE Managed Services process and procedures are adhered to. The work will vary from marking out show layouts from scale drawings, installing raw-bolts to driving forklift trucks This role may require you to be able to cover for the Team Leader when they are unavailable. This role will require a flexible approach and positive attitude, including flexible work patterns on an ‘Annualised Hours’ Contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning
a) You will need to be punctual and able to follow instructions from the Team Lead and Supervisor.
b) Forward thinking to spot and deal with challenges and tasks before they become an issue.
- Compliance
1) Client liaison & satisfaction
a) To demonstrate a proactive manner in dealing with any Customer/Client (NEC & SCS Team) requests and feedback.
b) Carry out any inspections as required including completing any necessary paperwork.
2) Health & Safety
a) Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are followed for all tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices.
b) Ensure the provision of a safe & healthy working environment, and ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures, as well as client site policies, procedures and working arrangements, as required.
c) Use reporting systems to record unsafe acts and conditions
- General
a) Ensure a professional image of CBRE is presented to clients and visitors ensuring excellence in customer service is always delivered and promoted.
b) Ensure that professional and technical skills are maintained through a commitment to personal development and life-long-learning.
c) To carry out any additional tasks as requested by the Technical Events Contract Manager in assisting all areas within the Technical Events Team and with any other areas of the CBRE contract.
Skills and Experience
a) Ability to communicate at all levels.
b) Organised and disciplined approach to work giving careful attention to detail.
c) Use of Tools (Including Power Tools)
d) Experience of reading drawings
e) Experience of setting out or marking out
f) Previous roles such as, survey technician, ground worker, handyman, builder
g) Forklift license desirable
