JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Manager, DREI internally plays a pivotal role in NORC's Office of Diversity, Racial Equity, and Inclusion (DREI) team. This position is instrumental in the effective project planning, management, tracking, support, evaluation, and ongoing improvement of NORC's DREI programs, projects, and initiatives, significantly impacting our mission and long-term success.

The position will develop comprehensive diversity and inclusion strategies aligned with the company's mission and goals to advance NORC's DREI Strategic Framework and the associated Action Plan. The position will focus on inclusion strategies, accountability, strategic multi-channel communication, talent advocacy, and affinity-based resource groups.

DEPARTMENT: Office of DREI

Diversity, Racial Equity, and Inclusion (DREI) is one of NORC's top strategic priorities. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage DREI projects from conception through completion, ensuring timely and effective execution and collaborating across functions to manage project timelines, budgets, and execution.

  • Collaborate with NORC People (Human Resources), Strategic Communications, senior leadership, and affinity-based resource groups to promote a diverse and inclusive workplace culture.

  • Share updates and challenges with stakeholders, including but not limited to the CDO, DREI Steering Committee, DREI Advisory Committee, staff, and NORC's external audiences.

  • Conduct assessments and analyses to identify areas for improvement and measure the impact of DREI initiatives. Solicit and incorporate feedback from stakeholders.

  • Prepare and present reports to senior leadership on DREI efforts and outcomes.

  • Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars to educate employees on diversity, equity, and inclusion topics.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on DREI best practices, providing guidance and support to all levels of the organization.

  • Develop and maintain metrics to track the progress and effectiveness of DEI initiatives.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes related to diversity and inclusion, determine the potential impact of trends and regulations, and incorporate them into ongoing and future work.

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field is required. A master's degree is preferred. Certifications in Diversity and Inclusion, Project Management or related fields is a plus.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in diversity and inclusion, human resources, or project management roles.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing and implementing diversity and inclusion programs.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience with work management platforms is a plus.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and build strong relationships.

  • Knowledge of DEI best practices, trends, and legal requirements.

    SALARY AND BENEFITS:

    The pay range for this position is $109,000 –$164,000.

    This position is classified as regular. Regular staff are eligible for NORC’s comprehensive benefits program. Benefits include, but are not limited to:
