Aerotek Reach Truck Operator in Berlin, Connecticut

Job Description

· Ability to operate a reach truck

Currently seeking candidates with prior reach truck experience. The ideal candidate will be anyone that knows they'll feel comfortable working for a company that compensates on overall performance. The work will primarily be working in a freezer so candidate needs to be fine in working in a freezer that may be at a -15 degree F. Candidate will be responsible for using a reach truck to move product from trailers to racks. The reach truck operator may need to place inventory on the top rack which is about 50ft height. Their isn't any computer ability for this job. Candidate will be taking product down from top racks to the first rack for the selectors to pull the proper orders. They may be required to move some products up on the shelves as well.

Pay Rate: $24.00

Shift: 7am – whenever the work is done (4 days a week, one day will be one the weekend) You will get your schedule 1 week prior to your scheduled shifts

Additional Skills & Qualifications

· Prior reach truck experience is preferred.

· Must properly and safely learn how to operate a reach truck to move product around the warehouse.

Work Environment

· This work will be done in a freezer so candidate must be fine working in freezing conditions.

· Over 80 other selectors and reach truck operators will be riding around the warehouse

· A thick jacket most likely will be required and a candidate must need to wear long johns or any other type of thermal or warmth because of the cold

· Most candidates get accustomed to the freezer and the managers said most people aren't as cold as we think because they're constantly moving around the freezer
