It's an exciting time to join our Walmart journey . We are seeking a Senior Manager - Software Engineering for a key position within the Customer Care tea m . As a Walmart Senior Manager, you'll have the opportunity to be at the forefront of driving major transformations at Walmart scale.

About the Team:

The Contact Center Tech CRM team provides support for the implementation of Oracle Service Cloud across various business units, including Walmart stores, Sam's Club, EBS, Walmart CA, Walmart MX, and other small business units. Their responsibilities encompass designing, developing, implementing, and providing ongoing support for features within Oracle Service Cloud.

  • Lead large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects by reviewing project requirements; translating requirements into technical solutions; directing and reviewing design artifacts.

  • Experience working with micro-services architecture and distributed systems.

  • Drive the technical vision and strategy for the engineering team. Stay current with best practices in software engineering.

  • Business Acumen and Strategic Planning: Comprehend the business context of the work, make informed decisions that align with the overall leadership vision and strategy and identify opportunities to leverage technology to drive business outcomes.

  • Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting , evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness .

  • Manage a team of highly skilled engineers. Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment. Facilitate team meetings, code reviews, and knowledge sharing sessions.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure high standards of quality.

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members. Promote continuous learning and professional development within the team.

What you'll bring:

  • Masters or bachelor's in computer science or related field with at least 10 to 15 years of experience

  • Experience managing software development engineers and leading engineering projects.

  • A constant desire to improve, learn more and take things to the next level and a passion for adopting the latest industry best practices.

  • Strong knowledge and experience in Java, REST webservices , Cloud ( Azure or GCP ), Kafka or other messaging service, relational DBMS or NOSQL DB

  • Experience working with service CRM systems . Experience working with Oracle service cloud (OSC) CRM is an advantage.

  • Experience leading teams and people in a technical capacity .

  • Experience with agile frameworks and facilitating ceremonies.

  • Experience partnering with cross-functional project development and in collaborating with other scrum teams Product , Program Management, and Business Ops .

  • Strong in competencies around planning, communication, and stakeholder management

  • Good Problem-Solving Skills and ability to handle issues independentl y.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 5 years' experience in software engineering or related area. Option 2: 7 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
