Dunlop Manufacturing, Inc. Injection Molding Process Technician in Benicia, California
Setup, operation and troubleshooting of injection molding machines in a production environment.
Setup, operation and troubleshooting of auxiliary equipment, such as dryers, material feeding systems, temperature controllers, etc.
Provide assistance with Engineering Samples and Mold tests.
Provide ownership and input of injection molding process and equipment for the reduction of defects, overall process improvement, and the reduction of downtime.
Manage inspections and documentation for molded parts and last shot samples.
Ability to perform Molding Machine and Injection Mold maintenance.
Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures.
Assist, mentor and train employees of Injection Molding area to help develop and improve processes.
Requirements
Minimum of 10 years experience in the setup and troubleshooting of plastic injection Molding Machines.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
Experience with machines ranging from 20 to 140 Tons.
Processing experience with engineering and general commodity resins.
Basic hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic experience.
Familiarity with BOY, Fanuc/Milacron injection molding machines is a plus.
Strong project management, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Computer proficiency – MS Office and Material Control Systems.
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Bilingual English and Spanish preferred
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Long periods of standing, with the ability to work around injection molding equipment.
Environment
Occasionally exposed to heat, cold, loud shop noise and fumes or airborne particles from plastic resin.
The work setting of this manufacturing facility provides adequate lighting, noise levels will be moving between moderate to high noise levels. Required Personal Protection Equipment includes gloves, face masks, face shields and hearing protection dependent on the specific job being performed and company safety rules and regulations. Because of the nature of this business, the temperature in the production facility can be very hot during the hotter times of the year. Typically, the temperature is more comfortable during the more moderate temperature times of the year.

Competitive Salary commensurate with ability. Hourly pay range $34.00-$40.00
