In this role, you will:
Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
We are looking for a passionate Data Engineering senior developer. This position will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing and supporting the modernization of a legacy datawarehouse. A successful candidate should be self-motivated/self-directed and demonstrate high proficiency in Data Analysis, Data Engineering, SQL, Stored Procedures, Big Data, Python. The individual will support and assist in the analysis and design of complex technical solutions including maintaining and modifying new and existing application modules, creating necessary design documentation, participating in code review, researching production issues, test support issues etc.
4+ years’ experience of Data Warehousing and ETL
Deep understanding of Data warehousing concepts.
4+ years’ experience in writing complex SQLs
Great analysis and design skills: the person is expected to analyze the existing data and flow of data from one area to another and come up with an optimal approach to migrate the functionality to modern platform
2+ years’ experience in working with Oracle PL/SQL procedures
Good exposure to Big Data technologies like NetApp grid storage, S3, Hadoop.
Strong debugging, problem solving and investigative skills. Ability to assimilate disparate information (log files, error messages etc.) and pursue leads to find root cause problems.
Willingness to upskill to the latest technology stack including Python, PySpark
Extensive Business and/or technical background in the areas of Data modeling, Data Mart, Master Data Management, Metadata management, Data Quality, Data Governance, Data integration (ETL) and Data Security
Define data profiling and analysis criteria and development of data quality metrics
Proficiency in Linux and shell scripts, job scheduling.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Job Expectations:

Experience with Agile delivery methodology
Good analytical & debugging skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work effectively in virtual environment where key team members and partners are in various time zones and locations
Database query design and optimization
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
Ability to drive the requirements process with both technical and business partners
Ability to be flexible and adjust plans quickly to meet changing business needs
