Google Fullstack Software Engineer, Search Experience in Belo Horizonte, Brazil

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.

  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.

  • Ability to communicate in English fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.

  • 2 years of experience with performance, large scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging.

  • Experience developing accessible technologies.

  • Experience in building products using Machine Learning techniques.

Our Search Experience team in Brazil is creating experiences, features, and quality changes aimed at redesigning the Search results page aimed at creating a more engaging and inspirational Search results page.In Google Search, we're reimagining what it means to search for information – any way and anywhere. To do that, we need to solve complex engineering challenges and expand our infrastructure, while maintaining a universally accessible and useful experience that people around the world rely on. In joining the Search team, you'll have an opportunity to make an impact on billions of people globally.

  • Create new data sources and techniques that leverage the best of latest AI advances (e.g., LLMs) to power horizontal experiences that affect large portions of traffic.

  • Build robust offline and serve infrastructures to efficiently serve these new experiences within acceptable latency and capacity.

  • Partner with Product and UX teams to conceive how these new features/experiences should look like, including Frontend and UI development.

  • Work in a high collaborative, dynamic, and creative environment aimed at reinventing Search.
