The Senior Credit Risk Manager plays a pivotal role within the Financial Services team, leading the credit risk for two core banking products while driving long-range planning, operational improvements, and partner collaboration. This strategic role focuses on mitigating risks, optimizing processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory principles, all while supporting the organization's Profit and Loss (P&L) objectives and customer lifecycle management. As a key advisor to the organization, the Senior Credit Risk Manager develops and implements policies, processes, and strategies to reduce credit risk exposure while balancing customer experience and profitability. This position requires close collaboration with banks, aggregators, and internal teams to deliver data-driven insights and innovative solutions that enhance portfolio health, optimize credit decisions, and align with T-Mobile's strategic goals. Responsibilities: Core objectives and responsibilities: Credit Risk Management and Strategy Create and implement risk management strategies to mitigate credit losses across the customer lifecycle, including acquisition, fraud, and collections. Develop financial models to predict and handle credit risk exposure for unsecured lending portfolios. Provide guidance on potential risks to profitability and organizational stability, offering alternative courses of action. The ability to understand the strategic solutions and market conditions, in order to effectively make decisions. Requires an understanding of the customer lifecycle, including credit and collections and is used to accurately assess credit risk at the point of sale. Credit intuition is critical. Regulatory Compliance and Governance Ensure all credit risk strategies and actions align with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain robust risk governance. Partner Management Build and maintain strong relationships with key external partners, including banks and aggregators, in collaboration with internal bank finance leads. Align strategies and objectives with partners to ensure seamless execution of credit risk initiatives. Data Analytics and Performance Reporting The ability to articulate often very complex data, in a way that is relevant. Conduct data-driven analytics to support risk assessments, using statistical tools and techniques to optimize acquisition and portfolio strategies. Monitor and analyze test programs, acquisition strategies, and risk management initiatives to evaluate effectiveness and performance. Prepare and present regular portfolio reports, risk assessments, and forecasts to senior leadership. The ability to articulate often very complex data, in a way that is relevant to be able to understand the business critical scenarios and leverage the appropriate participants. Data Retrieval and Analysis: Gather complex data inputs from multiple sources, both internally and externally. Long-Range Planning and P&L Optimization Drive long-range planning efforts, ensuring alignment with P&L drivers and organizational objectives. Active participant in strategic alignment and prioritization of resources and the day-to-day work of their team.
