• Types letters, reports, memos, and other documents required by the depart-ment staff.
• Sorts, copies, and/or files correspondence and documents with the department.
• Answers telephone and takes messages or transfers calls to proper individuals.
• Greets and assists general public by taking or providing information, receiving payments, or directing them to proper locations.
• Processes required department documents, forms, and reports as required.
• Updates information to the computer database.
• Operates computer, typewriter, adding machine, copier, and other office equip-ment as needed.
• Maintains department files in an up-to-date manner, as required.
• Reconciles bank statements as required.
• Assists staff with clerical duties in absence of other clerical staff members, or as needed.
• Assists in collecting monies due to the department.
• Compiles data within department for completion of reports.
• Performs other related duties as required.
