Senior Manager, Brand Planning & Operations Retail – North America

In alignment with the Nike brand, our North America Brand Planning & Operations Team strives to shape the brand through distinctive, emotive, and impactful stories & experiences that lead the future of sport.

As part of the North America Brand Marketing (NABM) organization, our team works cross-functionally to activate marketing programs that help propel the brand and the business into the future. We are responsible for bringing organization, clarity and process excellence to deliver maximum consumer impact. We enable this by creating the time and space required for the organizational brilliance through scalable, shared services to support the full marketing organization, driving accountability in planning, timing and finance, embracing creativity and innovation as we deliver elevated brand standards. Our combined, end-to-end team will provide the organizational capability and uphold the operational rigor needed to drive marketing excellence.

An experienced operations professional who is passionate about co-creating an end-to-end process for our Retail Marketing team & leading a team of operational superstars.

This candidate is a strategic problem-solver who knows how to work in a matrixed organization. In this role, thought leadership, collaboration, and clear communication is key. This is a high visibility role with senior leadership.

What you will work on

Lead end-to-end brand planning & operational management for the Retail Marketing team & drive overall seasonal readiness by setting compliance to dates and gates, briefings, budgets planning/oversight.

Develops and evaluates efficiencies in ways of working and the overall operating model with supporting functions (Consumer Fields of Play/Merch/Business/Account teams) across the enterprise.

Thinks holistically and has a deep understanding of Nike’s CODE milestones to drive the work forward, so that the Retail Marketing team proactively show up at these gates. You will drive the work needed for each of the key moments identified that matter.

You play a critical role in the orchestration of processes to deliver seasonal and evergreen campaigns across owned channels.

Strategizes cross-functionally to optimize operational execution for supporting teams.

Builds relationships across the brand marketing matrix and will contribute towards the overall operational strategy to continuously improve the ways we work.

Inspires excellence through partnership & collaboration, managing & leading through change.

Grows & develops talent within the brand planning & operations function.

Who you will work with

You will report to the Director, Brand Planning & Operations Retail & Partner Marketing. You will partner with your leader for mentorship as you learn and grow in your experience! Partnering with Retail Marketing, Partner Marketing, Brand Planning, Creative Operations & Production, Program & Development Capabilities across North America and globally so that the workflow is seamless for successful execution. You will also partner with business functions such as Finance, Procurement, Store Operations, Direct business teams, and potentially partner accounts.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training

  • 8+ years of experience working within a marketing organization or related function preferred.

  • Proven track record of leading a highly functional team.

  • Ability to streamline and optimize complex processes.

  • Proficient in Keynote and project management software such as AirTable (strongly preferred)

  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to identify and problem-solve situations efficiently, including concepting and delivering presentations on complex business issues required.

  • Strong time management and project management skills, keeping projects on track, raising awareness where issues may arise, and bring solutions to the table while keeping high attention to detail.

  • Strong analytical skills, dedication to support internal teams, and proven ability to manage expectations.

  • High level of motivation and energy, hard-working, driven, takes initiative and self-motivated with the ability to successfully deliver tangible results.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and competitive environment, with a diverse group of individuals and talents, collaboration skills a requirement.
