Title:
Contract Manager (AFIT)
ABOUT THIS POSITION
KBR requires an effective leader to lead an Air Force Institute of Technology Contract under the KBR Research and Development Program. This candidate will be required to manage cost, schedule, performance, resources, and risk. This is a supervisory position. Communication, teamwork, and leadership skills are essential to success.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Recommend, track, and meet/exceed contract revenue/profit goals
Work with KBR’s functional offices to ensure smooth execution of contract, sub-contract, invoices, pricing, and other Project/Program Management functions
Maintain and grow relationships with Government program managers, Alternate Contract Officer Representatives (ACORs), and technical points of contact/project managers
Work closely with KBR program managers, directors, and executives to ensure timely reporting of issues, risks, and opportunities
Hiring, retaining, and managing a multi-functional team to meet contract and customer requirements
Develop and maintain a proactive project management plan
Maintain and set KBR’s Quality Management System for Project Management goals and reporting
Meet assigned contract requirements
Work with KBR leadership to support strategic goals, pop-up projects and process improvement events
Provide significant support to future KBR proposals
Identify and pursue new work and new customers
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS :
A Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, business administration or equivalent experience
10 years’ experience in technical program planning and implementation, contract interpretation, budget development, or administration of government projects.
DoD Clearance Requirement: Secret
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Master’s degree in engineering, science, business administration or equivalent experience
Active or eligible for TS/SCI clearance
Experience working KBR project management systems
Experience managing complex projects
Experience working in AFRL
