Entergy Supt, Fossil Outage in Beaumont, Texas
Job Title: Supt, Fossil Outage

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:
Responsible for the development of long range project, schedule, and budget details to execute planned outages and/or large scale capital projects. Manages the condition based outage process, outage stage gate process, and plant modification process for assigned projects.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversees long range detailed planning and execution of fossil unit outages through utilization of the outage stage gate process
Manages cost, schedule, and safety processes for outage scopes of work
Interfaces with plant management personnel to develop and drive resolution to key issues impacting project/outage
Coaches project managers as necessary to deliver on safety, financial, and schedule goals
Understands, negotiates, and influences contract language for vendors/contractors to protect Entergy's best interest
Assure direct reports and contract partners comply with plant safety policies and procedures
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum education required of the position
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or in related field or equivalent work experience
Minimum experience required of the position
Must have 5 or more years of large industrial project management or relevant experience
Must have 5 years of industrial plant maintenance related experience
Must have 2 years of demonstrated experience in a project management leadership roles
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Excellent oral, written, and computer skills
Power plant major component repair (turbines, boilers, valves, pumps, etc.)
Asset Management Software experience (AIMM, Maximo)
Primavera P6 software experience
Expertise in procurement processes and financial governance
Environmental, Health & Safety policy knowledge
Experience with OSHA regulatory compliance and industrial safety standards
Expertise in industrial engineering standards and plant components modification regulations
Microsoft Office suite, including Microsoft Project
ASME codes applicable to large power boilers and steam piping
Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position
