EquipmentShare is immediately hiring an Inside Sales Specialist for our rental facility in Port Arthur, TX.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and offers overtime pay after working 40 hours. (On call during the weekend only in special circumstances)
Job Summary
The Inside Sales Specialist is responsible for generating new sales opportunities, maintaining customer relationships, managing inventory and purchase orders, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional with strong communication skills and a background in B2B sales within industrial, manufacturing, or distribution industries.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Generation
Proactively generate new sales opportunities via phone, email, and other electronic communication methods.
Follow up on inbound leads and inquiries to convert them into sales.
Respond to customer order and quotation requests through various channels, including salespersons, telephone, email, and written correspondence.
Customer Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
Act as the primary point of contact for customer needs, inquiries, and concerns.
Provide accurate pricing and delivery information.
Inventory & Purchase Order Management
Maintain appropriate inventory levels and ensure proper inventory turnover.
Follow up on orders to guarantee timely shipment and customer satisfaction.
Resolve customer service issues and track open sales orders.
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
Expedite open orders and coordinate delivery schedules with customers.
Nature and Scope
Follow established procedures and seek guidance for non-routine issues.
Operate under close supervision with limited independent judgment.
Work involves detailed checks and review by senior colleagues or supervisors.
Work Environment
Primarily indoor work in a comfortable office setting.
Most tasks involve sitting with occasional movement; light lifting may be required.
Overnight travel is typically less than 10% of the time.
Qualifications
Experience & Background
Junior Level: 1-3 years of experience in inside sales or customer service.
Senior Level: 4-10 years of experience in a related field.
Experience in B2B sales, preferably in industrial, manufacturing, or distribution sectors.
Skills & Knowledge
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Effective negotiation and persuasion abilities.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple accounts and tasks efficiently.
Understanding of sales principles and customer service best practices.
Basic knowledge of industrial supplies, MRO, and tooling preferred.
Ability to learn and adapt to new product lines and solutions.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Relevant work experience can substitute for formal education.
Attitude & Work Ethic
Results-driven with a proactive and positive attitude.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
Other Requirements
Flexibility to work standard business hours with occasional schedule adjustments based on customer needs.
Ability to track sales metrics and report progress towards goals.
Capable of lifting up to 30 lbs when necessary to assist customers with supply requirements.
