Bay Arenac Behavioral Health Access & Emergency Services Specialist – Part-Time in Bay City, Michigan
Access & Emergency Services Specialist -- Part-Time Responsible for completing telephonic or in-person clinical screenings and/or brief assessments of persons requesting behavioral health services. Makes determination of appropriate level of care and eligibility for referrals to the public behavioral health system, which may include acute care services, specialty mental health services, substance use disorder services, or diversion to alternative non-specialty mental health services. Part-time weekend shifts available (first, second or third shift options available). Must have weekend availability.
Qualifications Minimum of a bachelor's degree in social work or related field, with current Michigan Social Work license required. Prefer a minimum of two years of experience in the behavioral health field providing services to children/adolescents and/or two years of experience working with people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. Must be proficient in the use of technology and possess a high level of customer service skills/phone etiquette. Prior experience completing mental health evaluations and an understanding of clinical diagnoses based on the current DSM V is required. Familiarity with managed care philosophy, systems and procedures is preferred.
Salary Pay range of $21.70 -- $27.30 per hour dependent on license status. $1,000 signing bonus!
