Habitat for Humanity of Greater Baton Rouge Construction Carpenter in Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Baton Rouge is looking for Carpenters to help build and instruct volunteers in the construction of simple, decent homes for low-income families. The ideal candidate will have a strong construction background and commitment to the mission of Habitat for Humanity.
Candidate must:
- Pass criminal background check and drug test.
- Be available and dependable to work Tuesday through Saturday, 6:45am to 3:15pm.
- Be physically able to perform construction tasks outside and inside homes.
- Have a valid driver license to drive with reliable transportation.
- Be capable, respectful and safe on the worksite.
- Cooperate with a diverse team of volunteers, partner families, and staff.
About the job:
- Residential new construction.
- Full time position, Tuesday-Saturday, 40 hours a week.
- Work performed with company truck, tools, and trailer.
- $16-20/hr. starting, DOE.
- Health, dental, vision insurance available.
