HIRING CONTACT: Cullen Sartor, (512) 332-6683PHYSICAL WORK ADDRESS: Bastrop State Park, 100 Park Road 1A, Bastrop, TX 78602 GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Under the direction of the Bastrop State Park Site Manager, this position performs advanced (senior-level) supervisory maintenance and construction work for Bastrop State Park. Provides strong leadership, training and technical guidance to maintenance staff and volunteers. Maintains all park facilities and grounds in a safe and effective manner. Serves as the team leader for the maintenance staff and assigns and inspects projects and duties to field staff and volunteers while overseeing the maintenance program. Ensures the regulatory compliance in all utility operations to include completion of required forms and reports as required by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD). Conducts water testing procedures and general maintenance and cleaning of water facilities. Responsible for the application of herbicides in the park in compliance with all state regulations. Oversees maintenance to vehicles and equipment, utilities, water and wastewater systems, electrical and all park facilities and grounds. Performs repairs and preventative maintenance (including cleaning/inspection) of grounds and facilities. Prepares reports, provides customer service and visitor assistance.
