Johns Hopkins University Research Data Analyst in Baltimore, Maryland
The Department of Geriatric Psychiatry is seeking a Research Data Analyst to prove statistical programming and data analysis for an ongoing cohort study of Dementia progression and related projects.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Create/build and maintain databases, records, and files.
Generate and maintain database documentation.
Produce and maintain documentation of statistical methods and computing code.
Incorporate library and web resources to research statistical methods.
Merge files, create and record variables.
Interact with co-investigators to plan data analyses and interpret results.
Perform data analysis and interpret findings using knowledge of programming and statistics.
Generate reports, figures, and tables for manuscripts, presentations, and posters.
Participate in the drafting of methods and results sections of manuscripts and editing of complete manuscripts.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
Three years related experience.
Additional education may substitute for required experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency with one or more statistical packages (e.g., Stata, SPSS, R, S+), facility with MSOffice, and strong quantitative and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
Candidate must be detail-oriented and able to work independently.
Experience in psychiatry, neurology or dementia research preferred.
MS, MPH, or MHS in relevant field preferred.

Starting Salary Range: $47,500 - $83,300 Annually ($50,000 targeted; Commensurate with experience)
