  • The University of Maryland, Baltimore School of Nursingis seeking a full-timeProgram Specialist to work in the Office of Research and Scholarship. Under general supervision, this position will contribute to the development and evaluation of goals and objectives of the Office of Research and Scholarship, creating solutions to ensure legal and policy compliance. This position may independently manage or administer programs, processes, projects, or resources and may independently anticipate needs and requirements to resolve non-routine matters. Exempt regular staff receive a generous leave package that includes over 4 weeks of vacation accrued each year, paid holidays, unlimited accrual of sick time, and comprehensive health insurance; professional learning and development programs; tuition remission for employees and their dependents at any University System of Maryland school; and flexible work schedules and teleworking options (if applicable per job). *Job Responsibilities: * Develops and maintains databases and uses them and other databases to collect, extract, and analyze data, as well as tomonitor and evaluate operating policies and procedures and metrics * Performs administrative duties having a significant impact on the overall work-related goals, programs, and activities of the Office of Research & Scholarship * Interfaces with relevant stakeholders to support the research and scholarship mission of UMSON * Elicits information from faculty, students, and staff at University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) and other institutions who collaborate with UMSON faculty on externally funded projects. Uses that information to complete general information on forms necessary for grant and report submissions. * Assists faculty and students with the process of conducting human subjects-related research at UMSON * Interfaces with relevant stakeholders to support the research and scholarship mission of UMSON * Evaluates and makes recommendations for updating policies and procedures for implementing research at UMSON * Promotes the visibility of the research mission of UMSON Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Degree Experience: Two (2) years administrative or program coordination experience Other: Related experience to program may be substituted for education. .
