Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Material Analysis Specialist to join our team! In this role, you will get to operate, maintain, and calibrate various laboratory and material-handling equipment.
What You'll Be Doing:
Operate, maintain, and calibrate Scanning Electron Microscopes, Energy Dispersive Spectrometer, Gas Meters, Hazmat ID/FTIR chemical detection equipment, Radiation Detection Instrumentation, and other lab equipment.
Operate, inspect, maintain, and repair overhead cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, and stock pickers.
Conducted routine inspections and maintain laboratory and material handling equipment.
Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Document and report material analysis, equipment performance, and maintenance activities.
Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures.
Provide technical support and training to team members on equipment usage.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient workflow and equipment availability.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of experience in operating and maintaining laboratory and material handling equipment.
Strong technical skills in equipment calibration and repair.
Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards related to laboratory and material handling equipment.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
HazMat experience, including asbestos, energetics, and chemical hazards.
Photography experience.
OSHA or other safety regulatory body training.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office suite, PDF, VISO, or other flow chart software.
Active TS/SCI.
Minimum Clearance Required to Start:
Top Secret

Salary Range: $72,900.00 - $127,600.00
