Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Material Analysis Specialist to join our team! In this role, you will get to operate, maintain, and calibrate various laboratory and material-handling equipment.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Operate, maintain, and calibrate Scanning Electron Microscopes, Energy Dispersive Spectrometer, Gas Meters, Hazmat ID/FTIR chemical detection equipment, Radiation Detection Instrumentation, and other lab equipment.

  • Operate, inspect, maintain, and repair overhead cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, and stock pickers.

  • Conducted routine inspections and maintain laboratory and material handling equipment.

  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

  • Document and report material analysis, equipment performance, and maintenance activities.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures.

  • Provide technical support and training to team members on equipment usage.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient workflow and equipment availability.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of experience in operating and maintaining laboratory and material handling equipment.

  • Strong technical skills in equipment calibration and repair.

  • Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards related to laboratory and material handling equipment.

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • HazMat experience, including asbestos, energetics, and chemical hazards.

  • Photography experience.

  • OSHA or other safety regulatory body training.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite, PDF, VISO, or other flow chart software.

  • Active TS/SCI.

Top Secret

Salary Range: $72,900.00 - $127,600.00
