This position is 40 hours per week working with patients within the International Center for Spinal Cord Injury (ICSCI)

Responsibilities
Completing health assessments and documenting
Triaging patient issues
Handling emergency situations
Answering/responding to calls
Writing prescriptions and orders
Completing forms for patients
Be open, understanding, patient, and kind to every person who enters the clinic, regardless of age, sex, race, gender, religion, medical conditions, etc.
Independent evaluation and management of children with spinal cord injury in outpatient clinic
Thursday clinics alternates between Maple Lawn and White Marsh
Independent evaluation for inpatients with SCI
Weekly inpatient rounding
Participate in inpatient steering meetings and discharge meetings
Qualifications
- Must possess and maintain Registered Nurse (RN) licensure and certification as a nurse practitioner
required by the State of Maryland to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner from an approved organization by the Maryland
State Board of Nursing (such as the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board or
the American Nurses Credentialing Center) required.
EDUCATION:
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a Family Nurse Practitioner specialty required.
Completion of a nurse practitioner program approved by the Maryland Board of Nursing.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum two (2) years of related clinical nursing experience required.
