Visitor Services Supervisor can anticipate spending 15-20 hours per week at the Admissions and Museum Store desks, welcoming and checking in visitors and tour groups; selling tickets to visitors and tour groups; providing collection and exhibition information; and selling items in the Museum Store. Encourage enrollment in the membership program.Selecting, ordering, and creating merchandise inventory. Submitting merchandise invoices for payment. Meeting with vendors. Ensuring orders are correct and the merchandise is in acceptable condition. Conceiving sales, promotions, and displays of merchandise.Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Visitor Services team. This includes creating schedules, training staff, approving timesheets, hiring, participating in meetings, and keeping team informed of a given weeks happenings at the museum. Work collaboratively with Gallery Attendants and Education teams.Database management, creating online ticketed programs, creating special pricing for various events and promotions, managing constituent records, reporting attendance numbers, writing policy and procedure, meeting with Altru consultant.Other duties as assigned.
