Amazon Software Dev Engineer II, AI Security Platform in Austin, Texas

Description

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer II to join our AI Security Platform team, which builds AI-powered security solutions to re-imagine how Amazon discovers and protects customer data and applications. This role partners with applied scientists and security engineers to develop innovative technologies to solve our hardest AI security problems, and build intelligent paved path solutions that support builder teams across Amazon throughout their software development journey to deliver delightful and secure customer experiences.

You will contribute to all parts of the software development and deployment lifecycle, including ideation, design, development, documentation, testing and operations of state-of-the-art solutions at Amazon scale. You will partner with applied scientists, security engineers, and other software engineers to develop innovative technologies to solve some of our hardest security problems, and build paved path solutions that support builder teams across Amazon throughout their software development journey, enabling Amazon businesses to accelerate the pace of innovation to delight our customers.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Strong problem-solving ability and the ability to work in ambiguous and constantly evolving environment

  • Strong personal interest in developing, researching, and creating new technologies with high customer impact
