HP Inc. Lead Software Engineer in Austin, Texas
Job Summary
- This role is responsible for leading a team of inside sales representatives and/or managers while providing guidance and coaching to drive individual and collective sales performance. The role develops and implements strategies to meet revenue targets, nurture client relationships, and manage the sales budget. The role stays updated on market trends, collaborates with internal teams, and refines sales processes to ensure seamless customer experience.
Responsibilities
Oversees a team of individual contributors and/or managers, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure the development of individual team members and the overall effectiveness of the sales efforts.
Sets sales targets, monitors individual and team performance, and provides regular feedback and coaching to help team members achieve their goals.
Develops and implements sales strategies and tactics to meet or exceed revenue and growth targets.
Builds and maintains strong relationships with key clients and prospects to ensure ongoing revenue growth for the organization.
Develops and manages the budget, including expenses related to personnel, technology, and other resources.
Assesses and refines the inside sales process to increase efficiency and effectiveness by utilizing sales technology and domain technology.
Analyzes market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and threats.
Works closely with the marketing team to align marketing efforts with sales objectives and provide feedback on lead quality.
Recruits, onboards and trains inside sales representatives to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
Education & Experience Recommended
Four-year or Graduate Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
Typically has 10+ years of job-related experience or 8-10 years of management experience, preferably in sales, business management, project management, or a related field.

The on-target earnings (OTE) range for this role is $146,950 to $226,300 annually, with a 50/50 (salary/incentive) mix [Input the correct salary/incentive mix numbers based on the role]. There are additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Job Summary
- This role is responsible for ensuring the technical design, development, installation, and maintenance of state-of-the-art software applications and services for the company. The role plays a crucial role in building technical solutions to help other developers/engineers deliver faster with modern software and application development tools. The role is responsible for technical need analysis, project management, technical support, customer support, programming, and testing. The role applies subject matter knowledge, lead complex projects, and exercise independent judgment in resolving business issues and establishing policies.
Responsibilities
Leads the building of various software development projects and platforms while aligning them with business and security strategies and requirements.
Builds standards, designs, and automates the deployment of software.
Designs and develops solutions that protect and manage software products and data.
Contributes to technology strategy and engineering roadmaps around software engineering; executes strategic software engineering proof of concepts.
Assists supervisors with project development, including documentation of features, recording of progress, and creation of the testing plan.
Consults with the business to determine logical design for new business solutions according to existing data architecture.
Interacts with user management regarding project status and user requirements to promote an environment with improved productivity and satisfaction.
Supervises the work of external engineering vendors, analyzing the testing performed by vendors, and provides feedback and expertise to technicians.
Assists in scheduling, determining manpower requirements, and estimating costs to project completion in order to meet user requirements.
Identifies, recommends and implements changes to enhance effectiveness of engineering, implementation and service strategies
Education & Experience Recommended
Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in software designing & development, software architecture, programming languages, or a related field
