Booji Beauty Bar & Co. is seeking a part-time talented, skilled, and experienced Braid Stylist to join our growing team! Our ideal candidate is experienced in a variety of braid services, such as box braids, twists, feed-in braids, dreadlocks, cornrows and more. You must have a plan to complete a cosmetology training program from an accredited school within a year
Excellent customer service skills are required to ensure our guest have a pleasant experience, are happy with their completed services, and become regular guest of Booji Beauty.
This position is creative every day, is fashion/image driven, and is quality focused. Hair Stylist and Braiders are the creative backbone of our company. Our staff is always seeking technical perfection; they are artistically innovative, and work to support our team culture and goals. Braiders ensure an Excellent Guest Experience from the consultation, to performing the service and through the close of each guest's visit.
Responsibilities & Duties Check-in and greet guest as they enter the salon and offer refreshments Perform world-class consultations by following our proven method and listening to clients wants and expectations thorough consultations Listen to each guest's needs and provide information about available salon services Braid and style hair according to guest specifications Provide braid styling extension services Recommend various products to clients Building relationships with clients and building our book of business Educate guest on the best way to care for their braid styles and scalp health Use the right equipment and ensure it is sanitary for each use Maintain security of all salon systems and operations Challenge yourself to listen, be innovative and creative with each guest and each service Know all retail products, and how to effectively promote them, educate the guest, and close the sale Advise new trends, looks, and services, educate each guest for home care and future visits Own a professional image at all times: personal style, hair, attire, makeup, self-confidence, and enthusiasm Maintain sanitation of salon environment as required by state board guidelines Assist with setting up and maintaining cleanliness of salon Greet and check in clients, answer incoming calls, scheduling appointments, and updating client information and records as needed Maintain two-way communication between all team members and clients Be a team player and assist other team members Participate in all salon meetings and educational events
Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or GED certificate (required) Must have a plan to complete a cosmetology training program from an accredited school within a year of employment. Beauty salon or day spa experience recommended but not required Strong communication, listening, and customer service skills (required) Attention to detail (required) Communication and interpersonal skills (required)
