THE POSITION

 

Sr Staff Systems Engineer - Cybersecurity Engineer, Continental Automotive Systems, Inc., Auburn Hills, MI:

Develop and oversee information security design decisions, threat and risk analysis, and problem solving on application projects within the Architecture & Networking Automotive Business Area of Continental. Lead project teams through successful product and security lifecycles. Develop security concepts, including system architecture and requirements, and apply to a target system or product. Develop and apply Security & Privacy customer requirements. Elaborate security testing strategies to security concepts within platform and application projects (including requirements based testing, vulnerability scanning, explorative testing, fuzzing). Elaborate security mechanism for ECU, vehicle network, infrastructure, consumer electronic and backend. Analyze and identify weaknesses in vehicle functions with regards to Security & Privacy. Execute Threat and Risk Analysis of automotive Systems (TARA) in accordance with all relevant state-of-the-art vulnerabilities and attack methods. Elaborate generic platform requirements to maximize re-use.

 

Telecommuting permitted up to 50% per week.

 

Full time employment, Monday -- Friday, 40 hours per week.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

* *

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical or Electronic Engineering or related field or foreign equivalent, plus 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 5 years of experience in each of the following:

 

  • Designing and developing embedded automotive systems; and
  • Using CAN or LIN communication protocol and simulation tools, including CANalyzer or CANoe.

     

Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience in each of the following:

 

  • Using UDS standard specification;
  • Engaging in diagnostic design, development, and testing for embedded automotive systems;
  • Using Change Management and Configuration Management process and tools;
  • Using 32bits microcontrollers and development tools, including debugger, oscilloscope or multimeter;
  • Designing, developing and testing Cryptography and Security Concepts;
  • Using Crypto Stack configuration and Diagnostic Stack configuration;
  • Using AUTOSAR based Automotive Projects and Tools;
  • Using Bootloaders configuration and integration;
  • Using HSM (Hardware Security Module) configuration and integration; and
  • Using Secure Onboard Communication.
