Pay Rate: $25.29

Length of contract: Through April 25, 2025

What’s a typical day as a Continuing Education Coordinator? You’ll be:

• Designing and developing a variety of educational programs for organizations and individuals

• Determining timing and location of courses within Oakland County, acquiring necessary supplies and equipment, and preparing classroom packets

• Utilizing tracking systems to ensure timely completion of tasks

• Evaluating and selecting instructors, recommending hires to build a diverse database

• Maintaining fiscal information relating to programs, preparing program budgets, monitoring budgets, and recommending program fees

• Preparing statements of work for instructors

• Initiating invoices to staff and customers, preparing and analyzing financial records, and submitting reports

• Coordinating program assessment and evaluation to determine effectiveness and recommending improvements

• Assisting with marketing of programs, writing course descriptions, and coordinating marketing materials

• Coordinating registration processes for programs and attending programs to resolve registration and scheduling issues

• Coordinating outreach efforts to promote community-focused events and projects

• Performing other related duties as assigned and working additional hours as needed

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, or Training and Development

• Have three (3) years of experience with education, preferably within community programming and/or higher education

• Possess knowledge and skills in community program development and general accounting procedures

• Have skills in project management tracking systems and database management

• Excel in interpersonal communication and public relations

• Have strong verbal and written communication skills

• Are able to work as a team player in a multi-culturally diverse working environment
