Global Commercial Services is a core operating group of American Express and has delivered robust growth over the past decade. GCS partners with corporate and small business clients to help them manage cash flow and increase profitability through a variety of automated expense management tools.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead, mentor, motivate, and develop an organization of 35 inbound and outbound Business Blueprint Lead generation sales managers and representatives in the Atlanta, GA and Phoenix, AZ sites as well as virtually around the US.

  • Ensure Business Line of Credit (BLOC)sales performance results are achieved quarterly/annually, with strict conformance to internal governance and compliance standards.

  • Create, execute, and reinforce compliance strategies across all Lead Generation teams.

  • Create and maintain a strong culture of adherence to Compliance and regulatory guidelines to support and protect the Blue Box and our customers. Be a champion of and for Compliance within U.S. SME and GCS.

  • Adhere to Blue Box Values, GCS Sales Practices and Standard Operating Procedure and American Express Leadership Behaviors.

  • Develop and execute strategies to improve efficiencies and optimize the setup of the teams through data driven decisions.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to improve Business Blueprint and the Business Line of Credit product based on insights from customers and colleagues.

  • Build a cohesive culture across multiple teams, with colleagues operating in multiple states, both hybrid and virtually.

  • Build a diverse and inclusive team, creating a space for colleagues with different experiences and viewpoints to have a voice.

  • In partnership with the team and key partners, build on our winning sales culture across the channel with integrity, driving a mindset of winning the right way.

  • Track and coach to Lead Generation specific and broader U.S. SME goals.

  • Compliantly drive outstanding results, taking the business to new heights.

  • Support team in office three days a week.

Expectations:

  • Operate in a compliant and ethical manner at all times, uphold the Blue Box Values, and live the American Express Leadership Behaviors.

  • Contribute to the success of Business Blueprint as a whole by being a thought leader amongst your peers.

  • Be able to successfully manage multiple workstreams while simultaneously supporting your team.

  • Become a subject matter expert (SME) on Business Line of Credit to support your team.

  • Consistently meet and exceed Lead Generations sales targets.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of people leadership experience, preferably leading teams of 5 in a sales, account management, or operations environment. A strong track record of leading other leaders is preferred.

  • 5 years of experience in the financial services industry, or similar highly regulated industry.

  • Experience scaling teams through developing and executing a cohesive strategy, cultivating and retaining top talent, and collaborating with key stakeholders.

  • Ability to be detail-oriented while maintaining a big picture perspective, and strong follow-up skills.

  • Experience working effectively with cross-functional partners while managing multiple priorities at once.

  • History of consistently exceeding goals in a compliant and ethical manner.

  • Passion for building a diverse and inclusive team.

  • Ability to identify root cause impacts to performance and use data to create an action plan to course correct.

  • Exhibit outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Record of leading through trust, transparency, integrity and collaboration to build highly engaged and compliance focused teams.

  • Salesforce reporting experience a plus.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.

Qualifications

Salary Range: $130,000.00 to $205,000.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits
