Make your mark in Claims TPA Governance

Reporting directly to the Head of Claims TPA Governance for North America, the TPA Compliance and Contract Manager will be responsible for the facilitation and oversight of negotiated agreements involving approved third-party administrators, implementation and management of contracting strategy, ensuring continuous and effective term management, and targeted compliance and procurement oversight. The role will liaise with Legal and other cross-functional teams and will lead discussions among Claims leadership to develop and achieve best practice and operational efficiency initiatives.

How you will create an impact

The TPA Compliance and Contract Manager shall be responsible for the following activities:

  • Partner with groups internal and external to Governance to ensure seamless integration of contract and onboarding processes.

  • Document and summarize agreed commercial terms accurately and oversee the collection and storage of all required documentation in line with the team’s standard operating process.

  • Lead discussions with Claim leadership to develop contract and onboarding strategy, with a focus on optimization and efficiency.

  • Track and ensure contract effective date continuity for all active TPA engagements.

  • Monitor and communicate marketplace intelligence relative to operable and strategic contract terms.

  • Serve as the central point of contact for Third-Party Administrators during the onboarding process and recurring contract cycles.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key business units and their leaders to understand contract and procurement requirements and pipeline of related work.

  • Liaise with and guide TPA Governance Managers and regulatory analysts to support teams in their respective projects/tasks to ensure best practice and standard operating procedures are followed.

  • Demonstrate project management skills for driving forward contract and onboarding initiatives, pulling together clear project outlines and updates.

  • Collaborate with the Legal department and other support groups to ensure completion of acceptable contracts and terms.

  • Perform other ad hoc assignments to enable AIG to cost-effectively manage governing agreements.

What you will need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and/or equivalent combination of experience; insurance or financial services industry preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years prior experience working with Third-Party Administrators or other Claims Vendors.

  • Significant experience and expertise with a track record for leading strategic sourcing processes, negotiating and contracting services.

  • Experience in developing and analysing detailed commercial financial propositions.

  • Experience working with commercial negotiations and drafting contracts.

  • Understanding of procurement-related economic and financial analyses.

  • Proactive attitude with problem solving skills, strong logic skills and critical thinking.

  • Data-driven with skillsets for reporting and analysing data metrics.

  • Experience building strong, meaningful internal and external relationships.

  • Exhibits confidence in self and others; inspires and motivates others to perform well. Excellent team building, and coaching skills.

  • Proven ability to effectively communicate data metrics and insight to key stakeholders and executives.

  • Team player with collaborative mindset.

  • Advanced in MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, and MS Outlook.

  • Strategic communication
