Starr RegionalMedical Centeris currently seeking talent to fill the position of Medical LabTech OR Medical Technologist forourLaboratoryDepartment.This job is permanent,full-time.

Core competencies include, but are not limited to the following:

• Performs common testing procedures and reports test results.
• Performs instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Performs quality control testing.
• Maintains supplies needed for performance of tests.
• Labels,processesand delivers specimens for testing.
• Collects blood specimens usingage-appropriate techniques.
• Assistswith receiving,identifying, accessioning,processingand transporting specimens.
• Maintains work area in a safe,asepticand organized manner.

Minimum EducationAssociate of Applied Science degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology or equivalent and certification by a CLIA approved credentialing organization MLT(ASCP), CLT(NCA), MLT(HEW), MLT(AMT) ORAAS equivalency by passing a certification exam given by a CLIA approved credentialing organization MLT(ASCP), CLT(NCA), MLT(HEW), MLT(AMT):□ Preferred, X Required

Required Licenses[Tennessee, United States] Clinical Laboratory Personnel Technician MLT (ASCP) certification OR equivalent (AMT) OR State of Tennessee Medical Laboratory Technician license:□ Preferred X Required
