Trinity Health Medical Office Specialist, Neurological Specialists in Athens, Georgia

Description:

Audits, verifies inputs and balances all charges as assigned. Participates in the development and implementation of operating policies and procedures as appropriate. Assists in the preparation of reports and audits current procedures to monitor and improve efficiency of operations.

Position Requirements :

A: Licensure/Certification/Registration: Certified Medical Assistant or Medical Assistant training preferred.

B. Education: High School Graduate or GED equivalent.

C: Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in the medical office or similar setting in working with physicians and medical billing required. Medical Billing and/or Coding certification preferred. Working knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 codes required if not certified. Must be proficient in Microsoft word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, internet applications and medical office management and EMR systems.

Special Qualifications: Basic knowledge of medical terminology required. Excellent interpersonal skills required. Must be very self-directed and able to step into various roles in the practice as requested.
