SOS International LLC Mechanical Engineer in As Sayliyah, Qatar
Overview
SOS International LLC (SOSi) is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to support an O&M contract in Doha, Qatar.
Essential Job Duties
Develop, draw, recommend mechanical system portions of projects.
Develop designs and cost estimates based on system criticality, budget, LCCA, TOC.
Implement, commission mechanical system designs.
Decommission systems/equipment.
Assist with Facility Condition Assessments.
Recommend process improvements.
Recommend preventive maintenance procedures.
Assist with root cause analyses.
Closely collaborate with O&M and Project staffs.
Timely completion and submission of all required documentation and reporting.
Ensure timely completion of all assigned tasks.
Properly use and wear task appropriate required personal protective equipment (PPE.)
Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment by onsite personnel at all times.
Daily inspection visits to in-process projects.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Ability to obtain Secret clearance.
BS Engineering.
At least 10 years’ experience providing Mechanical Engineering support services to large facilities or operations.
At least 2 years experience providing Mechanical Engineering services on US contracts overseas.
Demonstrated familiarity with industry standards, regulations, practices (ASHRE, NFPA, etc.).
Job requires bending, twisting, routinely lifting over 25 lbs, and climbing ladders.
At least 2 years AutoCAD and/or BIM experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP certification desired.
Work Environment
Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable.
Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions.
