Description

Join the innovative team behind Amazon Web Services' critical time synchronization infrastructure. This team manages the Amazon Time Sync service, a sophisticated platform that delivers precise timing to EC2 instances, network infrastructure, Amazon Fulfillment Centers, and retail locations through an advanced network of time servers. Our service leverages innovative hardware and software implementations utilizing Network Time Protocol (NTP) and Precision Time Protocol (PTP) to ensure accurate time distribution across millions of devices.

We're seeking a dynamic individual who can balance technical expertise with strategic thinking, someone who's passionate about building scalable solutions and creating exceptional customer experiences. The ideal candidate will contribute to both team productivity and culture while driving innovation in time synchronization technology.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead cross-team coordination for Time Sync initiatives

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of high-visibility projects

  • Develop and implement structured processes for project intake, execution, and delivery

  • Drive collaboration with multiple internal stakeholders

  • Ensure successful delivery of time synchronization solutions at scale

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  • 3+ years of software development experience

  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
