Amazon Finance Manager, GREF FP&A, Finance Operations, Finance Operations in Arlington, Virginia

Description

Amazon is seeking an experienced candidate to join the Finance Operations, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) group as a Finance Manager in our Amazon HQ2 (Arlington, VA) location who will work closely with internal Global Real Estate & Facilities (GREF) FP&A team, vendors, and key business partners. This role will manage the global process for all planning and forecasting cycles within the GREF FP&A team.

This position requires a proactive, highly motivated self-starting individual who operates well in an ambiguous environment. This person will need to collaborate across the teams to drive positive change by evaluating and streamlining existing regional and global processes. Additionally, the finance manager will support our internal planning tool and work to implement the right long-term solution.

Key job responsibilities

Managing the global process around Amazon forecasting cycles for Global Real Estate & Facilities, including Annual Operating Plan, and Quarterly Guidance, including communication with senior leadership and internal customers.

Collaborating and coordinating activities with internal finance teams on all planning cycles

Managing the RSF planning process

Driving standardization globally and lead process improvement efforts.

Owning GREF planning system (One Stream) and ensure alignment with Amazon planning system of record.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field

  • 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience

  • 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience

  • 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

  • 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
