Job Title: Commercial Carpenter
Location: Ames, Iowa
Shift: Monday - Friday / 7:00am - 4:00pm / OT Available
Job Description:
Seeking carpenters or skilled construction candidates to join our team on a variety of commercial projects.
Projects range from $1mil-$15mil and include work at educational institutions, healthcare facilities, municipal buildings, industrial sites, offices, retail locations, restaurants, and water treatment/utility projects, apartments, multi-family, residential.
Responsibilities include: Building and installing cabinets, shelves, casework, such as reception desks and display cases.
Installing flooring, such as hardwood, tile, and laminate.
Hanging and finishing drywall / Installing and repairing windows and doors / Finishing and painting woodwork, trim, and molding.
Work Environment:
This is a full-time position based with projects based Des Moines.
Commercial construction environment, working in teams on the job site.
Dress code - boots, jeans, and a t-shirt or sweatshirt.
Requirements:
Proven experience in Carpentry (Minimum 1 year of experience - commercial preferred)
Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
